Bill Brigham is Director of the Small Business Development Center, University at Albany.
The center offers no-cost, one-to-one counseling: assisting start-up and existing businesses in developing strategic business plans, identifying appropriate sources of funding, providing market research, management information and financial analysis. The program works closely with lending institutions and local venture capital firms acting as a catalyst to help small businesses access capital.
The center counsels more than 1000 entrepreneurs annually.
The program is sponsored by the Small Business Administration, New York State, and the University at Albany.
Under the guidance of the University's School of Business, the center concentrates on utilizing students to assist Albany region small businesses.
Bill serves on several technology, economic development, and small business advisory boards.
