Postdoctoral Position - Prof. Marina A. Petrukhina Research Group
The NSF-Career grant-supported post-doctoral position in synthetic inorganic/organometallic chemistry is open in Prof. Petrukhina's group at the Department of Chemistry, University at Albany, State University of New York. The position is available from January 2009 for 1 year initially with possible extension. Candidates with a Ph. D in inorganic chemistry with a strong synthetic background related to the preparation/handling/characterization of air-sensitive compounds are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry, sufficient publication record. Preferred candidates should have broad expertise in synthesis of inorganic and organometallic complexes of transition metals, especially those of lanthanide elements, and show promise as independent investigators. Additional experience in organic synthesis is a plus.

Postdoctoral Position - Prof. Evgeny V. Dikarev Research Group
There is an immediate opening for a postdoctoral appointment in Prof. Dikarev's group at the Department of Chemistry, University at Albany, State University of New York. The position is available from June 2008 for 1 year initially with possible extension.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in chemistry, sufficient publication record. Preferred candidates should have broad expertise in synthesis and characterization of metal-organic frameworks. A background in organic synthesis would also be beneficial. Experience in each of these areas should be described in the letter of application.

Adjunct Instructor Part-time - General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at the University at Albany is seeking to fill two part-time adjunct positions for the Fall 2008 term. Classes begin August 25, 2008.
Position Descriptions
1) One adjunct position teaching General Chemistry I or II lecture for the Fall 2008 semester. Salary to be determined.
2) One position teaching Organic Chemistry I lecture for Fall 2008 semester. Salary to be determined.
Qualifications
A PhD in Chemistry is required with some teaching experience preferred.
