Graduate Study Information

Degrees

Both M.S. and Ph.D. programs are offered. Research opportunities are available in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, inorganic chemistry, materials chemistry, organic chemistry and physical chemistry. Please visit our faculty web pages for more research information.

Financial Support

Teaching assistantships are available for each academic year on a competitive basis. Academic year stipends for Ph.D. study begin at $15,000 with additional summer support available. Each assistantship includes tuition scholarship support. International students must have a minimum TOEFL score of 600 for consideration for a teaching assistantship. At this time, MS students must be self-supporting.

Deadlines

The Department will consider applications until one month before the start of classes for the semester of entry. If you wish to be considered for a teaching assistantship, however, it is recommended that applications be submitted by March 1st for Fall admission and by October 31st for Spring admission.
