UAlbany Faculty Available to Share Expertise About "Attack on America"

The following is a list of University at Albany faculty from various areas on campus who are available to comment on the Sept. 11 terrorist attack. This list will be updated regularly.

Thomas A. Birkland, a professor of Public Administration and director of UAlbany's Center for Policy Research. He is the author of After Disaster: Agenda Setting, Public Policy, and Focusing Events. Areas of expertise: disaster policy, aviation safety, technological accidents, and how issues come to people's attention.

Salvatore Belardo, a professor in the Department of Management Science and Information Systems. Area of expertise: disaster management systems.

Mark Raider, a professor of Judaic Studies. Areas of expertise: Israel and the Middle East crisis as well as how Americans respond to crises, and what is being done here at the University at Albany to help people cope.

Julian Zelizer, a professor of History. Areas of expertise: 20th century American political history and political culture.
