UAlbany Faculty Available to Share Expertise About "Attack on America"

The following is a list of University at Albany faculty from various
areas on campus who are available to comment on the Sept. 11 terrorist
attack. This list will be updated regularly.
� Thomas A. Birkland, a professor of Public Administration and
director of UAlbany's Center for Policy Research. He is the author of
After Disaster: Agenda Setting, Public Policy, and Focusing Events.
Areas of expertise: disaster policy, aviation safety, technological
accidents, and how issues come to people's attention.
� Salvatore Belardo, a professor in the Department of Management
Science and Information Systems. Area of expertise: disaster management
systems.
� Mark Raider, a professor of Judaic Studies. Areas of expertise:
Israel and the Middle East crisis as well as how Americans respond to
crises, and what is being done here at the University at Albany to help
people cope.
� Julian Zelizer, a professor of History. Areas of expertise:
20th century American political history and political culture.
