The Presidential Honor Society and the Division for Student Affairs at the University at Albany are sponsoring a two-day Community Service Fair. The event will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Lecture Center Concourse and on Thursday, Feb. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Campus Center Ballroom on the University's Uptown Campus. It is free and open to the public.

The Fair will provide an occasion to learn more about volunteer opportunities in the Capital Region. Representatives from more than 50 local community service agencies will be available to distribute information and answer questions about volunteer service. Among those participating will be the Center for the Disabled, Food Pantries for the Capital District, the Homeless Action Committee, and the Arthritis Foundation.

Established in 1991, the Presidential Honor Society works to create a dynamic group of achievers within the University by promoting academic excellence, personal and professional development, and on going service to the campus and the community.
