Understanding how our world, its past, present, and future, is shared and shaped by cultures other than our familiar English-speaking one is among the most important aims of an undergraduate education. Studying any of the eight languages offered by LLC (Arabic, French, German, Italian, Latin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish) can be your key to that understanding.
Skills developed in language study contribute to lifelong cognitive health and are highly valued across many fields and career paths. These skills include interpersonal communication, intercultural sensitivity, writing skills, critical reasoning and adaptability.
