McGovern '87 Memorial Scholarship share their heartfelt words of thanks and reflect on how their scholarship is making a difference during their time here at UAlbany. Established in 2003, The McGovern Scholarship recognizes the tragic loss of alumnus Scott McGovern ’87 on September 11, 2001. It is awarded to incoming freshmen, preferably from Staten Island, who demonstrate need.
