Stop by for a visit. Stay for a while. Whatever your timeline, in Albany you’ll find plenty of activities, restaurants and attractions to suit your interests. Take in culture and community right here, or venture farther out to experience quaint small towns, natural wonders or even just watch the seasons change.
Centrally located in the Northeastern U.S., and at the heart of the Empire State, Albany is a perfect homebase for exploring all-season outdoor recreation as well as other cities—New York City, Boston and Montreal are each about a three-hour drive away and easily accessible by bus or train. Hiking, biking, snow sports and more are plentiful in the near-by Adirondack, Catskill and Berkshire mountains.
