UAlbany Associate Professor of Computer Science Petko Bogdanov is part of a multi-institution effort that hopes to revolutionize the field with a new class of near-infrared contrast agents designed with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide an even greater level of detail.
Hackathon Brings Students Together for Gaming Challenge
Motivated by their passion for gaming, technology and camaraderie, students from UAlbany IEEE hosted the first ever “Hack-a-Damien” from April 12-14, featuring a 24-hour gaming competition, technical workshops and a vendor fair.

CTG UAlbany Students Using AI to Help City of Schenectady Track Government Resources
UAlbany students Michelle Leon Vasquez, Tyler Jardine and Kelvin Cai are getting a first-hand look at how artificial intelligence can be used to improve the lives of individuals. They are working side-by-side with the University’s Center for Technology in Government to assist the city of Schenectady in monitoring the use of city assets.
