Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity: UAlbany Students, Alumni Trek to America East Conference Championship Basketball Game to Cheer on Great Danes
ALBANY, N.Y. (March 8, 2007)
What: Five buses with UAlbany students, alumni and guests will head to Vermont to root for the Great Danes men's basketball team in the America East Conference Championship Game against the University of Vermont Catamounts.
Who: Over 270 University at Albany students, alumni and guests
Where: Leaving from the Alumni House driveway, located on UAlbany's uptown campus at 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, N.Y.
When: Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 a.m.
Background: The Great Danes (20-9, 13-3) tied the program's record for conference wins, finished second in the America East standings and are the No. 2 seed for the championship. UAlbany is vying for its second consecutive America East Conference championship after capturing last year's title and reaching the NCAAs for the first time.
