  • History for Kids - www.historyforkids.org is a GREAT site to use for basic information of presentation topics and general historical information.  there's nothing to cite in papers, but this should be your first stop for any historical info.
  • Perseus Project - comprehensive database of Greek and Latin documents.  all available in English translations.  also a huge database of pictures (if you can get the links to work).  There's also a section dedicated to Renaissance studies.
  • Greek Mythology Link - if you want to know who someone is or what stories s/he appears in, this is a great place to go.  there's also a healthy dose of pictures.
  • C. Valerius Catullus by John Porter - all the info one needs for a successful 10-15 minute presentation of the Roman poet!
  • Pegesos Author's Calendar - don't let the presentation of this page fool you, this site is 5 times better than an encyclopedia entry for an author.  authors "from Vergil to Nobel prize winners" are included.  great presentation resource!
  • Geoffry Chaucer - a course web site at Harvard with many valuable links, language helpers, summaries, and translations of parts of Chaucer's work(s).
  • Mr. William Shakespeare and the Internet - a nice, easy to navigate site with all the basics (historical background) one should know for a general introduction to Shakespeare.
  • Sumerian Mythology FAQ - AWESOME resource to get a general background in Sumerian myth in 20 minutes!  This is where the Epic of Gilgamesh comes from, folks.  more info than can be presented in 10-15 minutes! (hint hint)
  • Assyro-Babylonian Mythology FAQ - another companion to Gilgamesh.  This FAQ provides background for the Babylonian culture that was ultimately responsible for codifying the Gilgamesh stories into a single, coherent narrative. more info than than can be presented in 10-15 minutes! (hint hint)
  • Hemingway Resource Page - solid bibliographic information.  great material for a bio presentation!
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald Society - plethora of information on the author, more than enough for (shockingly) another presentation!
