Program Leading to the Master of Arts Degree in Sociology
Program of Study (30 credits, minimum)*
- a. Sociology (24 credits, minimum):
Soc 509; Soc 510; Soc 511; Soc 522; and Soc 590A,B;
b. Master's Thesis (Soc 699) (2-6);
- Supporting courses (0-6 credits): Courses in fields other than sociology as advised;
- Resident study: Each student must complete at least 9 credits of study in one semester of a regular academic year, or, with permission, one full-time summer session;
- Application to this program requires submission of official scores of the Graduate Record Examination General Test.
*This program is not open to students completing preparation qualifying for a secondary-school teaching certificate.
