Environmental Health Sciences Master of Science (M.S.) Degree Program
Applicants to the M.S. program are expected to hold a baccalaureate with a combined total of at least 42 credits in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. A minimum of 18 credits in one of these areas is required, with at least 6 credits in each of the other areas. Applicants are required to submit official scores of the Graduate Record Examination aptitude test and an advanced test in chemistry, biology, or physics. A minimum of 38 graduate credits is required for the M.S. degree.
Program of Study and Research for the MS - 38 credits
Students are required to maintain an overall grade point average of B (3.0); however, for any core courses in which a grade of C+ or lower is received, the core course must be retaken.

- Ehs 790 Seminar (0-1) - to be taken once a year, at least one time for credit
- Support Courses as approved by advisor (3 credits minimum)
- Ehs 699 Thesis Research (14 credits minimum, 9 credits may be exchanged for elective courses with approval from advisor and from the department's Graduate and Curriculum Committee). Satisfactory seminar on and defense of a master's technical thesis or thesis of laboratory, field or library research
- Satisfactory completion of the master's major field examination
