This message is to alert you that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has released a health alert for travelers to Toronto, Canada. If you have recently traveled to Toronto you may have been exposed to cases of Severe Respiratory Disease Syndrome (SARS). If you have plans to travel to Toronto, be advised that there is a current SARS outbreak. The CDC recommends that U.S. travelers to Toronto observe precautions to safeguard their health. Any University at Albany student, faculty or staff who has recently traveled to Toronto, or who plans to travel to Toronto in the near future, must contact the University Health Center upon return to University at Albany campus until this advisory is lifted. A health care professional from the University Health Center will speak with you over the phone regarding the general state of your health and will make appropriate recommendations.
