Ethno-pop band One Ring Zero performs

The New York State Writers Institute and the University Art Museum at the University at Albany present the literary ethno-pop music band One Ring Zero in a live performance on Thursday, March 17 at 8 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.
The band performs on a variety of non-standard instruments, including the toy piano, Jones-O-Phone, megamouth, bread machine, power drill and an amplified box of kitty litter, among others.
This performance will feature songs from their most recent album As Smart As We Are--with lyrics written for the band by Paul Auster, Rick Moody, Margaret Atwood, Denis Johnson, Jonathan Lethem, AM Homes, Neil Gaiman, Dave Eggers and many more.
