Help Beat Cancer: Join a Team or Support One in UAlbany's Relay for Life
ALBANY, N.Y. (April 6, 2012) -- UAlbany students are seeking support for their 2012 Relay for Life efforts on April 14-15 at the SEFCU Arena. More than 1,300 people comprising 127 teams have signed up but they need help reaching their goal of raising $100,000 to fight cancer.
Many families have a loved one who is battling the disease, know a cancer survivor, or have lost a family member to this disease. At the Relay for Life, UAlbany students, faculty and staff volunteers give up a night’s sleep to walk all night, raise awareness about cancer, and honor and support their friends and family.
Since 2005, UAlbany students have raised approximately $550,000 for this charity. To sign up or to donate, go to Relay for Life of UAlbany.
