UAlbany Sweeps America East Indoor Track and Field Championships

The men scored 191 points to claim the conference title,
defeating second place Binghamton University by nearly 60 points. In total, the
men won six events over the two-day meet, including two victories from senior
Alexander Bowen in the high and triple jump. Other individual event winners
included junior Taariq Jones (400 meters), junior John Thompson (500 meters)
and senior John DeLallo (1,000 meters).
Both teams were awarded the America East Coach Staff of the Year accolade, while Bowden earned the Most Outstanding Men’s Field Performer – given to the top-scoring track athlete.
With conference championships now concluded, the Great Danes visit Boston over the next two weeks. First, this weekend, for the Boston University Last Chance Meet, followed by the ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, also at Boston University on the weekend of March 6.
