Students Turn Out for Campus Recreation's First Fit Fair
ALBANY, N.Y. (February 24, 2016) – Students showed up to check out everything from kickboxing to exercise equipment at Campus Recreation’s first Fit Fair earlier this week.
The fair was created for students, and was open to faculty and staff as well. Campus Recreation promoted intramurals and group exercise at the event.
This semester Campus Recreation is offering 10 different intramural sports leagues and tournaments, including basketball, sand pit volleyball, and wiffleball.
Each group exercise class this semester has been at capacity. Among the most popular classes are Zumba, spinning, and yoga, with functional fitness (boot camp and TRX suspension training) gaining ground. Campus Recreation offers 26 classes a week and eight wellness programs.
