ALBANY, N.Y. (April 26, 2016) — More than 1,000 individual thank you cards will be on display outside the Campus Center from noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, when students for the second consecutive year show their “Great Dane Gratitude” to donors and other University supporters who have enhanced academic, recreational and cultural programing.
“The purpose of our Thank a Donor Celebration is to give students a fun opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to those generous givers who have enriched their collegiate experience,” said Fardin Sanai, vice president for development. “Many students have received scholarships, attended lectures or art exhibitions funded by UAlbany donors, and this event allows us to showcase the positive impact of that philanthropy."
Entertaining activities, treats and prizes await all students who participate.
Last May, the first-ever Thank a Donor Celebration drew more than 1,000 students, including many scholarship recipients, who signed a large thank you banner and displayed hundreds of individual messages of gratitude.
