Four from UAlbany Named SUNY Scholar Athletes for 2015-16

ALBANY, N.Y. (May 11, 2016) – UAlbany Division I athletes are well-represented among the State University of New York’s 2015-16 Scholar-Athletes, recognized for outstanding academic excellence and athletic achievement.
Kelly Costello (softball), Krista Fitzpatrick (women’s soccer), Peter Hooley (men’s basketball), and Alba Sala (tennis) were among those cited by SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher for the “hard work, dedication, and discipline” it takes to balance priorities and excel in both the classroom and competitive sports.
“Congratulations to each of this year’s SUNY scholar athletes, and thank you to the many faculty, coaches, and staff across SUNY who mentor and support them," said Zimpher.
