A Weekend of Recognition
ALBANY, N.Y. (April 4, 2017) — Four awards ceremonies over four days recognized dozens of students and student organizations last weekend, as proud relatives and friends looked on.
Recognition weekend began Thursday, March 30, with the Purple and Gold awards, and fraternities and sororities were honored Friday.
The Spellman Awards, which recognize accomplished students of African, Latino, Asian and Native American descent, were held Saturday, April 1.
And on Sunday, April 2, undergraduates, graduates and organizations were honored with The President’s Award for Leadership.
This is the first year four awards were rolled into one Recognition Weekend.
