Advisement from the Top
This is the second of three videos highlighting the work of the UAlbany Career Advisory Network (UCAN).
ALBANY, N.Y. (September 13, 2017) — Business major Joseph De Santis ’19 was pretty nervous when he made his first call to a vice president at the multinational finance company Goldman Sachs to seek advice on the best academic and networking steps to take toward a career. He was then just a freshman.
However, like other UAlbany students who have taken advantage of the online database UCAN (UAlbany Career Advisory Network), the vice president Joseph contacted was a UAlbany alumna more than willing to help a student from her alma mater find a pathway to success.
For her part, Goldman Sachs VP Lisa Fund '05 has found it an enjoyable experience, advising an undergrad so eager to learn and get ahead.
That’s what UCAN is all about. You can learn more about it at http://bit.ly/2vWGaxo.
