ALBANY, N.Y. (Nov. 16, 2017) – President Havidán Rodríguez is inviting UAlbany students, faculty and staff to come together in celebration of the Campus Center West addition on Friday afternoon.
The celebration will include student-led tours, along with food and beverage samples, to showcase the Campus Center’s expanded retail options, offices, meeting rooms and collaborative spaces.
President Rodríguez will also offer brief remarks, joined by three other campus leaders:
- Michael Christakis, UAlbany Vice President for Student Affairs
- Jerlisa Fontaine, UAlbany Student Association President
- Dylan Card, UAlbany Graduate Student Association President
After opening this semester, the two-floor, 55,000-square-foot addition has been a game changer for the University’s Campus Center. It includes 10 food service venues, ranging from Asian street food to pizza, a Starbucks, glassed-in conference rooms, student group offices and various other lounges and meeting rooms.
Friday’s celebration will take place in the Campus Center Grand Hall at 12:10 p.m. with facility tours at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
