Thank You, Donors
Students are encouraged to display their gratitude on #UAlbanyGivingTuesday.
#UAlbanyGivingTuesday returns tomorrow. |
ALBANY, N.Y. (Nov. 27, 2017) – For the past six years, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been designated “Giving Tuesday” to encourage holiday and end-of-year charitable giving. People across the globe make gifts to causes they care about, and then encourage others to do the same through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
This year, UAlbany will once again participate – with a unique opportunity for students to join the movement.
#UAlbanyGivingTuesday:
The UAlbany community is encouraged to give back to the UAlbany Fund tomorrow. Why give? Your donations support students, through scholarships, activities and programs at the University.
You can donate online at www.albany.edu/givingtuesday. Gifts of all sizes and to any designation count.
Donors can share their giving via social media with the hashtag #UAlbanyGivingTuesday. Not on social media? You can also email, call or converse with UAlbany alumni, students, friends and colleagues at the water cooler.
For those on campus, the UAlbany Fund will be tabling from 12 to 3 p.m. in front of the Campus Center Bookstore. There will be prizes throughout the day.
Students are encouraged to display their "Great Dane Gratitude" on social media.

#UAlbanyThanksU:
The UAlbany Fund will also be awarding a $250 Visa gift card tomorrow to the student who displays the most "Great Dane Gratitude" through social media.
To win, students are encouraged to tour 10 different locations on campus that were made possible through the generosity of UAlbany alumni and friends. The more locations visited, the greater chance of winning.
Creativity counts – students must share a selfie at each location on social media using the hashtag #UAlbanyThanksU.
