A Resounding Success
ALBANY, N.Y. (April 24, 2018) -- More than 1,500 students, faculty, staff and alumni rolled up their sleeves and pitched in at the BIG EVENT on April 21 in a massive volunteer effort that was the first of its kind for UAlbany.
The full day of community service was organized by the Center for Leadership and Service in the Division of Student Affairs. There were 11 service activities hosted on the Uptown and Downtown campuses, and 11 more in the surrounding community.
“UAlbany’s BIG EVENT is about our community coming together to help others by giving something of ourselves for a greater good and purpose,” said Director of the Center Leadership and Service Martha Asselin.
