Celebrating LatinFest
ALBANY, N.Y. (Aug. 30, 2018) – On Saturday, President Havidán Rodríguez and his wife Rosy Lopez showed their Great Dane pride at this year’s Albany LatinFest.
The University, a major sponsor of the festivities, was well represented as the President and other UAlbany administrators, staff and students mingled with community members and enjoyed the music.
In keeping with the University’s core priority of engagement, the University made a strong showing as part of its ongoing effort to cultivate and strengthen relations with the growing Latino/a community of the Capital Region.
Over the past 23 years, the Albany Latin Festival Association has showcased the contributions of Latino musical artists and promoted cultural diversity in the Capital District. UAlbany had two side-by-side tents at the event, held in Washington Park.
