More on AkaBlas
AkaBlas' story began in the 1960s when four research assistants practiced to play wind music at small events at TU Braunschweig. The group was named the Academic Winds Association before officially being founded as AkaBlas in 1964. Today, there are more than 80 members, most of which are faculty, staff or current and former students. Every decade, the group celebrates its anniversary with a concert tour abroad.
