Fire Officials Burn Mock Dorm Room to Demonstrate Safety Procedures
ALBANY, N.Y. (September 15, 2010) -Albany held its second annual Fire Safety Demonstration. An 8x12 wood-frame mock residence hall room complete with furniture and fixtures was burned to demonstrate fire safety procedures and tips. The room contained commonly found hazards and demonstrate the possible effects of unsafe behaviors.

UAlbany Helps Hannah Win $250k to Fight GAN Disorder
ALBANY, N.Y. (September 07, 2010) -The University at Albany campus was thrilled upon learning that the Hannah's Hope Fund was one of the top two finalists in the $250,000 Pepsi Refresh Challenge to help find a cure for giant axonal neuropathy (GAN). In March 2008, Hannah Sames was diagnosed with GAN -- a rare genetic disorder.

Three UAlbany Students Win 'Explore UAlbany' Award
