Announces College of Nanotechnology

Albany will be home to the first College of Nanotechnology
in the nation, under a proposal announced by Governor
George Pataki, during his State-of-the-State address
on Jan. 7. The purpose of the new college, said Pataki,

Center for Stress and Anxiety Disorders Director Edward
B. Blanchard has researched and treated motor vehicle
accident survivors who suffer from nightmares, flashbacks,
depression, anxiety, and other symptoms of Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD). Now, accident survivors around
the world who fear traveling the highways again are
using the �Information Superhighway� to reach out to
one of Blanchard�s students, Jonathan Lerner, for help.

Degree
Applications Are Now Online
Since January
7, students have been applying for their Spring 2004
degrees online, via MyUAlbany. More convenient for students,
it saves them a trip to the Registrar�s Office to turn
in a degree application. Students submit their own information
online, eliminating paper forms and reducing errors
due to handwritten information. Undergraduates have
until Sunday, Feb. 15, to complete the online degree
application, and the deadline for graduate degrees is
April 1. More >>
