UAlbany Represented
at African Studies Conference

Nine students from Nefer Rohu, the Africana Graduate
and Professional Students Organization, participated
in the 28th annual New York African Studies Association
conference (NYASA) April 16-17, hosted by Eastern
Connecticut State University.
The students and the Department of Africana Studies
recognize and thank UAlbany Africana Studies faculty,
staff, students, and administrators for the financial
support that made it possible to attend the conference.
They extend special thanks to Dean Joan Wick-Pelletier
and her staff; Department Chair Leonard A. Slade
Jr.; Allen Ballard, Carson Carr, Jr. and the EOP
staff; and Oscar Williams for their generous contributions.
