President Kermit L. Hall has announced the promotion of Susan Reich Supple to the position of senior assistant to the president. Supple previously had served as special assistant to the president for presidential events and community relations over the past four years, and has been with the University for 20 years.
In her new role, Supple will serve as personal assistant to the president, oversee strategic scheduling and planning of events and other presidential activities, act as liaison to internal and external constituencies, and work with Chief of Staff Vincent Delio to manage the business of the Office of the President. She will continue to serve as the president’s primary point person with regard to University events and matters of protocol, and manage selected presidential events and visits by foreign delegations and other VIPs.
Prior to her employment with the University,
Supple was executive director of the Albany
League of Arts. An alumna of the University
at Albany, she earned a B.A. in Rhetoric
and Communication in 1977 and an M.B.A. in
1982.
