Celebrates Research
Wick-Pelletier welcomed researchers and staff and applauded them for their success. She remarked, "Our plan to ensure that this tradition continues is to hire only the most promising faculty members to our ranks." She then noted the success of the first round of Life Science Research cluster hires, all of whom are now funded researchers.
Associate Dean Lawrence Schell observed, "The production of new knowledge is one of our chief responsibilities as faculty members, and, I think, one of the joys of the job." He encouraged his colleagues to share their understanding of research with students and colleagues alike.
Vice President for Research Lynn Videka attended and praised the group for its hard work and success in a difficult funding climate.
Each spring, in alternating years, the College honors its researchers and the creative work of its authors and artists.
