The University at Albany Journalism program will host Aaron Matthews and his film "The Paper," which premiered on the Emmy Award-winning PBS series Independent Lens in December 2007. The film offers an inside look into the pressure-cooker newsroom of the student-run paper The Daily Collegian at Pennsylvania State University.
The viewing of the documentary will be followed by a discussion with the filmmaker.

The event is free and open to the public.
Background:
Matthews� documentary "A Panther in Africa" received the Cine Golden Eagle Award and the Best Documentary at the St. Louis International Film Festival. For his film "My American Girls," he won the Best Documentary Award at the San Francisco Latino Film Festival.
