Contact(s): Catherine Herman (518) 956-8150
The award is given to individuals for outstanding leadership, which extends beyond the boundaries of their college or university, and who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and integrity in leadership.
Since 1995, Fenn has overseen the complete operation of the University's Mail Services, which includes the management and delivery of more than 7,000 residential students' mail and package services, as well as mail delivery to more than 3,000 faculty and staff. In 2000, she took on the additional responsibility of managing the Rapid Copy Center. During her tenure, she moved both offices forward in providing professionalized service by cross-training employees, revising delivery systems, eliminating deficits, upgrading equipment and developing benchmarking tools.
Fenn serves as treasurer of NACUMS, is a member of its Educational Committee, and is on the executive board of the Capital Region Postal Customer Council (CRPCC). She is one of fewer than 300 people in the nation who is currently a certified mail and distribution systems manager. In 2003 Fenn received the USPS Mail Center Manager award for her superior achievement in mail center management.
