Scientists at the University at Albany�s Cancer Research Center have been awarded significant new grants to advance research into the causes of cancer as well as prevention and treatment methods.

Background:
The Cancer Research Center combines the University�s research expertise in genomics and biomedical sciences with cutting-edge technology to explore the genetic origins of the disease. The Center is affiliated with University�s School of Public Health and the Wadsworth Research Laboratories of the New York State Department of Health, and fosters training of undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in cancer biology.
