UAlbany Graduate Programs Rank Among Best in the Nation
Rockefeller College and its programs in information management, public administration, and public finance are in top 10

ALBANY, N.Y. (April 2, 2004) -- U.S.News & World Report's annual graduate rankings have placed University at Albany graduate programs among the best in the nation. "America's Best Graduate Schools 2005" placed four UAlbany graduate programs in the top 10 in the country, including the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the number 10 spot, up from 12th place in 2001, the last time it was ranked.
Additionally, the following Rockefeller College concentrations are positioned in the country's top graduate programs:
- Information Management & Technology - 4th
- Public Administration & Management - 6th
- Public Finance - 9th
Rockefeller College's Public Policy program ranked 25th in the nation. The University's School of Education became one of the top 40 schools in the country, leaping from last year's ranking of 46 to 36 this year, also placing it in the top 25 among public schools. The 19th ranked School of Social Welfare remained one of the top schools in the nation.
The results appear in "America's Best Graduate Schools 2005," and select rankings can be found in the current issue of U.S.News & World Report. U.S. News first ranked graduate schools in 1987, and has done so annually since 1990.
