Development Program Director Appointed to Real
Property Administration Training Governance Group

ALBANY, N.Y. (June 25, 2004) -- The University
at Albany's Eugene J. Monaco, director of the
Professional Development Program (PDP) at the
Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy,
has been selected as an at-large member of the
Real Property Administration Training Governance
Group. The group is responsible under the Real
Property Tax Law to oversee training programs
for assessors and county directors of real property
tax. The group, comprising members from the New
York State Office of Real Property Services, county
directors, assessors, and at-large members, provides
direction for the development and delivery of
training for local government personnel involved
with real property tax. Monaco's term will be
for three years.
PDP is the largest continuing education program
at the University at Albany. With headquarters
on the downtown campus and adjunct offices throughout
the region, PDP provides professional education
and training to individuals within public sector
organizations. PDP's professional, technical,
and administrative staff supports the commitment
shared by Rockefeller College and the University
at Albany to make government more effective.
