ALBANY, N.Y. (May 6, 2005) -- With 25 percent
of the University at Albany's undergraduate
student population of 11,400 hailing from Long
Island, President Kermit L. Hall and University
administrators will board a bus to learn first
hand from Long Island parents about their children's
college experience.
This "Voice of the Parents" session will be held May 10 from 7 to 9
p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 215 Sunnyside Boulevard in Plainview. The session is
part of the University's "Voice of the Customer" initiative, designed
to find out how well the institution is delivering a quality academic and campus
experience.
"Guaranteeing a quality undergraduate experience is a top priority for
UAlbany," said Hall. "The best people to tell us how we're doing are
our students and their parents."
Since becoming UAlbany's 17th president on
February 1, President Hall has set undergraduate
education, academic success, community involvement,
and fundraising for scholarships as primary
goals for the University.
The forum will be moderated by WNYT-News
Channel 13 (Albany) anchor Kelly Lynch.
