Litchford Honored

George B. Litchford, Jr., director of UAlbany�s Psychological Services Center, was recently elected as a distinguished member of the National Academies of Practice (NAP).  Litchford was installed at a gala membership banquet for new members from 10 healthcare professions held on Nov. 3, in Arlington, Va.

NAP was founded in 1981 in response to the need for interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare.  The disciplines include dentistry, nursing, optometry, osteopathic medicine, medicine, psychology, podiatric medicine, social work, veterinary medicine, and pharmacy.  In turn, each academy is limited to 150 distinguished practitioners and scholars.
