Bouchard Named VP for Student Success

George M. Philip, interim president of the University at Albany-SUNY, announced the appointment of Christine Bouchard as vice president for the Division of Student Success.

 A 25-year veteran of the University at Albany, Bouchard took over as interim vice president for Student Success on Nov. 1, 2007. 

“I am delighted to appoint Christine Bouchard as the vice president for Student Success,” said Philip, who added she has demonstrated the necessary leadership, experience, and dedication for the important position of overseeing student affairs.

Bouchard joined the University at Albany in 1982, holding a variety of positions including assistant registrar, assistant director of Admissions, director of Community Relations and, for the past six years, associate vice president for Student Affairs.

She earned her undergraduate and master's degrees in Educational Administration from UAlbany, and is a member of the University at Albany Alumni Association Board of Directors. In addition, Bouchard was a recipient of the 2004 Excellence in Professional Service Award and the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence.
