The new comedy series "Worst Week" is about an entertainment magazine editor who repeatedly gets himself into embarrassing and troublesome situations with his fiance's conservative parents. The pre-screening is part of Danes after Darks First-Run Movie Series.
Pamela Malatesta, assistant director of Student Involvement and Leadership, explained that the movies that are shown are "no longer in the theater, but havent come out on DVD yet, so its the only place students can see the movie at this point." This weeks First-Run Movie is the "Sex and the City" movie. "The event is completely free and were expecting a turnout of over 100 students at the PAC," said Malatesta.
Next week CBS will air another pre-screening of a different new show. "The Ex List" will be shown at Danes after Dark on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. in the Terrace Lounge (before the First Run of "The Hulk") and again on Friday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. in the PAC Recital Hall.
"The Ex List" is a romantic comedy about a single, successful woman who has an unusual encounter with a psychic. She learns that she has already dated her future husband, and if she doesnt find him in the next year, shell remain alone forever.
Students who come out to watch the pilot episodes can stay for a free movie, directly afterwards. Or they can just be the first to catch a CBS new comedy. The popcorn and entertainment are free, thanks to Danes after Dark.
