Dr. Garima Siwach Receives APPAM Ph.D. Dissertation Award

Dr. Garima Siwach receives the 2018 Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management. Her dissertation "Impact of Employment Barriers on Individuals with Criminal Records: An Econometric Evaluation of Criminal Background Checks in New York" is at the intersection of economics, public policy and criminology. She finished her dissertation in 2017 and won the University at Albany Distinguished Dissertation Award. She is currently working at American Institutes for Research.
