What activities were you involved in during your time at UAlbany and Rockefeller College?

While at UAlbany and Rockefeller College, I remained actively involved on campus as to spend time giving back to others. I served in the Student Association as a Senator for two and a half years, writing critical legislation, serving in various chair positions, and aiding students with concerns. I helped many students on campus become acquainted to the University as an orientation leader, then I became a resident assistant and housing manager to assist in their journey through the college. Additionally, I connected with alumni of the University at Albany, SUNY as a purple and gold student ambassador. I am a brother of Alpha Phi Omega community service fraternity and I am a member of Pi Alpha Sigma political science honors society.

What were some highlight experiences of your undergraduate career?

My undergraduate experience was filled with many exciting and immersive opportunities. I was proud to work in the New York State Assembly, starting in the intern program aiding in representing my home community of Rochester, N.Y. Additionally, I am honored to have stood alongside my colleagues in the Student Association to create a scholarship program for UAlbany students that covers costs and fees associated with applying to graduate, law, or medical school.

What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?

I believe the accomplishment that I am most proud of after attending the University at Albany is coming to the realization of what I want to be in life. The experiences, classes, faculty, staff, and people  that I have had the honor to work alongside, while an undergraduate, have informed my identity and mission in life: to be of service to others.

What is next for you after graduation?

After graduation, I will continue working in the New York State Assembly as a legislative aide and clerk for the Aging Committee. Alongside this, I am planning on preparing for my LSAT examination in the fall to attend law school and pursue a career in education and/or labor law and policy.
