Dining Update- November 12
Campus Center Nikos Cafe
Out of an abundance of caution and under direction from the Albany County Department of Health, UAlbany Dining has closed the Campus Center’s Niko’s Café for the remainder of the Fall 2020 semester (effective 11/12/20, 4pm) after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. Any employees with potential exposure have been instructed to quarantine for two weeks from last date of contact. Niko’s has been deep cleaned and sanitized for safety.

Dining Update- November 4
Campus Center Starbucks
Out of an abundance of caution and under direction from the Albany County Department of Health, UAlbany Dining has temporarily closed the Campus Center’s Starbucks after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 last week. During the closure, Starbucks has been deep cleaned and sanitized for safety. The Albany County Department of Health has stated there is no identifiable exposure risk to customers. Any employees with potential exposure have been instructed to quarantine for two weeks from last date of contact.
To help alleviate the inconvenience of this temporary staffing disruption, Starbucks will shift operations to the East Café (across from Fountain Grill) starting Thursday, November 5 at 9am. The hours of operation will be M-F, 9am - 3:30pm. All Starbucks orders must be placed on the GET FOOD app and picked up at East Café.

Starbucks Transition to East Cafe
The Campus Center Starbucks location is currently closed and will shift operations to the East Café (across from Fountain Grill) starting Thursday, 11/5 at 9am. All Starbucks orders must be placed on the GET FOOD app and picked up at East Café.
518 Market has extended hours of operation:
M-Th, 8AM-10PM
Friday: 8AM-9:30PM
Saturday: 10AM-6PM
Sunday: 10AM-6PM

Dining Update- October 5
Residential Dining Transition- September 21
Based on the number of students currently on campus, usage of the residential dining rooms and requests for greater variety, UAlbany Dining has moved all dining operations to the Campus Center. Indian and State Quad dining programs have transitioned to Campus Center retail, and students on a myGreatDane Meal Plan were transitioned to the myFlex Meal Plan.

- Kosher meals will continue to utilize the same online ordering process, pickup at 518 Market
- The allergen-free zone, Simple Servings, is offered at Star Ginger
- Download GET Food app (App Store, Google Play) to preorder for pick-up at retail dining venues to avoid lines

Students on a myGreatDane #1 meal plan have transitioned to myFlex #2 and students on a myGreatDane #2 meal plan have transitioned to myFlex #1.

Retail Dining
- Up to $500 in Discount Dollars can be added per semester on a myFlex plan.
- Discount Dollars will rollover from fall to spring and expire in the spring.
- It's discouraged to use Discount Dollars in vending and for packaged goods.
- As in other areas of the campus, students are required to wear a mask, except those eating at a table.

- Halal meat available at Halal Shack, Baba's Pizza and 518 Market.
