Engineering can be described as “Science in Service to Society.” The College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering educates the next generation of innovators who will launch key solutions of critical importance to a global society.
Our ABET accredited programs start with our core strengths in computational sciences and engineering disciplines, and develop in our graduates a global perspective on societal needs and opportunities that is informed by colleagues from across the university and individuals throughout our community. The College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering offers immersive laboratory and classroom experiences as well as internship opportunities with leading industrial partners. This combination provides an exceptional framework for our graduates to launch successful careers in industry, government, academia, and research, while providing a unique and powerful background for those who choose to pursue professional studies in areas such as law, policy, and medicine.
Mission
The mission of the College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering is to launch the next generation of engineering and scientific innovators, to direct cutting edge research of societal significance within and across traditional academic disciplines, and to empower students to actualize leadership positions in the creation, application, and use of technology. All our programs integrate the latest advances and standards in engineering, technology, and computer science with a foundation of rigorous scientific and mathematical fundamentals. The resulting programs prepare our students for accomplished careers that can adapt to meet the ever-evolving needs of global industry and society.
