The Last Man in Europe: George Orwell in His Own Words
Broadway actor Michael Allison stars as Orwell in this play directed by Michael Alexander. Allinson spent many years in British repertory theatre before coming to the United States in 1960 to take over the role of Henry Higgins in the Broadway production of "My Fair Lady", a role he played for two and one-half years. Other Broadway credits include: "Hostile Witness" with Ray Milland, "Angel Street" with Dina Merrill, "Oliver" with Ron Moody, "Shadowlands" with Nigel Hawthorne, and currently "An Ideal Husband" in which Allison plays the Earl of Caversham.
