With original music by Chicago composer, Mark Elliot, and some of Danny's own signature songs, this musical comedy celebrates his public personality. But it also explores the darker side of his life: his bouts of depression, his rumored affairs with Eve Arden, Sir Lawrence Olivier and Princess Margaret. Yet, Danny Kaye, Supreme Court Jester, is a comedy which not only shows the laughter masking the pain, but it also emphasizes his unique feats of chameleon acting, linguistic agility, whimsical singing, antic dancing and madcap humor.
