Hong Kong action-movie superstar Maggie Cheung plays herself in a comic film about making films. She is flown to Paris post-haste to play a sexy sneak-thief in a French vampire flick. Unbeknownst to her, the crew is collectively going mad because of a rushed production schedule, various personality clashes, petty jealousies, and oversized egos. Maggie's bewilderment is enhanced by the fact that she knows not one word of French. Leaud performs a brilliant parady of his own erstwhile director, Francois Truffaut.
