Moon Over Broadway provides unique perspectives of the production from first rehearsal to opening night of the Carol Burnett/Philip Bosco 1995 Broadway hit Moon Over Buffalo. Throughout, the documentary filmmakers utilize their trademark technique: they don't ask questions. .
Directors D. A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus will provide film commentary and answer questions immediately following the screening. Pennebaker joined the Filmmakers coop in 1959 to make cinema verite documentaries. In addition to Don't Look Back and Moon Over Broadway, Pennebaker has produced and/or directed numerous documentaries including Jimi Hendrix: Live in Monterey (1967), Monterey Pop (1968), David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust & Spiders from Mars (1972), and Branford Marsalis: The Music Tells You (1992).
