With a deliberate nostalgic tone intended as a memory, MY FATHER'S GLORY is based on the childhood of Marcel Pagnol, the French novelist and filmmaker. The hills of Provence during a summer vacation provide the focus for Marcel's recollections.
The sequel to MY FATHER'S GLORY, MY MOTHER'S CASTLE, will be shown in the Spring 1998 Classic Film Series.
